About LASC SAFE

LASC SAFE is the official safety application of Los Angeles Southwest College. It is the only application that integrates with LASC's safety and security systems. Los Angeles Southwest College Sheriff Department has worked to develop a special application that provides students, faculty and staff with added safety on the LASC campus. The application will send you necessary safety alerts and provide instant access to campus safety resources.

LASC SAFE features include:

- Emergency Contacts: Contact the correct services for the LASC space in case of an emergency or a non-emergency concern

- Panic Button / Mobile Bluelight: Send your space to LASC security in real-time in case of a crisis

- Mate Walk: Send your space to a mate through email or SMS on your device. Once the mate accepts the Mate Walk request, the user picks their destination and their mate tracks their space in real time; they can hold an eye on them to create sure they create it safely to their destination.

- Hint Reporting: Multiple ways to report a safety/security concern directly to LASC security.

- Virtual WalkHome: Let Campus Security to monitor a user’s walk. If a user feels unsafe when walking on campus, they can request a Virtual WalkHome and a dispatcher on the other end will monitor their journey until they reach their destination.

- Safety Toolbox: Enhance your safety with the set of tools provided in 1 convenient app.
- Chat with Security: Communicate live with safety staff at LASC via chat.
- Notification History: Find previous Push Notifications for this application with the date and time.
- Share Map with your Location: Send your space to a mate by sending them a map of your position.
- I’m OK!: Send your space and a notice indicating that “You’re OK” to a recipient of your choosing.

- Campus Maps: Navigate around the LASC area.

- Safety Notifications: Get instant notifications and instructions from LASC safety when on-campus emergencies occur.
